How does Every.org work? Your top 10 pricing questions answered.

Every dollar counts in nonprofit fundraising.  So we want you to know all the facts and costs upfront before setting up a new online fundraising platform such as Every.org.

Every.org is a nonprofit built to help other nonprofits; we believe world-class technology should be available to every nonprofit regardless of their size or budget. We operate with the goal of getting as much money into the hands of nonprofits as possible, so we don't charge any platform fees, setup fees, or fees to use any of our features. However, there are some third party/bank fees to be aware of that we do not pay for (TLDR: If you just want the numbers, visit our pricing page here).

Here are 10 of our most frequently asked questions about exactly how the Every.org fundraising platform operates.

1. Is there truly a $0 platform fee at every tier, with no premium or paid plan we'd need later?

Yes, there is truly no platform fee.  Every nonprofit has access to all of our services without tiers or platform fees, and we are funded by grants and voluntary contributions from donors to make this possible.  There are no tiers or specific contracts, and no surprise fees later. We are a 501(c)(3) public charity ourselves and were built to make other nonprofits’ lives easier.

2. What is the credit card processing fee percentage that applies to donations to us?

While Every.org charges no setup or platform fees, there are a few third party fees to be aware of.  These include credit card processing fees, which vary by credit card company, and a 1% fee for processing crypto.  You can review all the third party processing fees here in greater detail.

3. Can donors opt out of the optional tip to Every.org, and can we disable that prompt entirely?

Yes, donors may opt out of the optional donation supporting our work, but it is not possible to disable this feature. We are sustained by optional donations from Every.org donors and philanthropic grants from organizations such as Fidelity Charitable Catalyst Fund and Gates Foundation, so these optional donations help to sustain our operations so that we can continue to support our partners and improve our platform and offerings.

4. Do you provide a free built-in QR code for our donation page, or would we need to generate one ourselves from the page URL?

We don't yet offer a QR code generation feature, but we do have a donate button you can embed quickly and easily anywhere on your site and marketing materials. Meanwhile, you can use any free online QR code generation tool for a donation link leading to your Every.org nonprofit profile.  We are currently building out this feature for public launch soon.

5. Can we embed your donate button directly on our website at no cost?

Yes!  We have a free donate button with all of our payment methods that you are welcome to use on your site.  

There is not a way to accept donations from us while keeping a donor entirely on your site, and a donor will always end up on Every.org for at least part of their donation journey.  We are currently working on a fully embeddable form for your site, coming soon.

6. Are there any fees when funds are disbursed to our bank account?

We offer disbursements through three options: Stripe Connect, PayPal Giving Fund (PayPal Grants), and For Good.  We encourage you to sign up for Stripe because you will incur no additional fees using Stripe Connect and will receive donations from us on a weekly basis.

Disbursements via Stripe Connect and PayPal Grants are free, while disbursements via For Good incur a 1.50% partner disbursement fee that is subtracted from the disbursement amount. Please see this article to learn more.

7. How often are funds disbursed, and is there a fee-free way to connect our bank?

Timing will vary depending on the disbursement method that you choose, per the article above. If you choose to securely connect your bank account through Stripe Connect, we will disburse funds to you on a weekly basis, typically on Monday or Tuesday. This is a fee-free way to connect your bank account for disbursements.

8. Can we export our full donor data at any time, free of charge?

Yes you can, and we do not charge to export data. You can download a CSV of your donation and donor data at any time from your admin dashboard.

Additionally, you can use our nonprofit donation webhook or connect Every.org to your CRM, email platform, and other tools using our Zapier integration.  Zapier connects Every.org to over 7,000 apps without any coding, and no paid Zapier account required for most workflows. You configure it once, then it runs automatically in the background every time a donation is completed.  

9. Are there any features that are locked behind a paid tier we might need as we grow?

Unlike other fundraising platforms, we do not have any features or tiers that you have to pay more to access.  We do not have any paid features or pricing tiers.

10. Ok, so what’s the catch then?

There isn’t a catch, and there are no hidden fees.  We handle the messy parts of nonprofit fundraising across both cash and non-cash assets — liquidation, compliance, distribution — so you don't have to.
